Description
After a period of radio silence, Vetna return to the stage for a special one-off show at The Louisiana, joined by Silky Disturbance and Dharma Burns. The collective have been quietly working behind the scenes over the past months, developing new (and old) material and reshaping their sound. This show lands right in the middle of that ongoing work in progress, making it a rare chance to hear new music taking form, alongside more familiar textures. @vetna.music Bristol-based collective blending alt-rock grit, electronic and 90s/00s ghosts into a genre-wrecking, psychedelic punch, earning praise for the 7-minute voyage “Marta,” where experimentation “impresses in every way.” With new tracks forged alongside Jim Barr (Portishead), they’re gearing up to hit even harder. @silkydisturbance Performance artist and composer working with live percussion, vocal looping and experimental sound design. She works closely with a violinist, drummer and synth player to create live apocalyptic-folk composed of complex textural soundscapes and intricate vocal melodies. Her new set looks at hierarchies and patriarchal systems, collective resistance and eternal sacrifice within the natural world. @dharmaburns Acoustic grunge duo based in Bristol mixing vulnerable and intimate folk songwriting with raw, volatile alternative music. A stripped back but heavy sound getting to the grit of grunge via interwoven guitar progressions and vocal harmonies . Expect an emotional and dynamic performance.
