The Roots of Music is hosting our annual gala on Friday, November 14th, 2025 from 7:00-10:00pm on our new campus, in the historic St. Gabriel The Archangel Church. The venue is located at 4700 Pineda St. New Orleans, LA 70126. This event will feature live music, food and drink, and a silent auction, all benefiting The Roots of Music’s programs. From humble beginnings as a six-week drum program at Tipitina’s, to now serving close to 250 students and having a home of our own, the growth of Roots’ programming is truly something to celebrate. The gala will consist of musical performances by the Marching Crusaders, All-Star Studio Band, and special guest performers Robin Barnes, The Original Pinettes Brass Band, and Ani DiFranco.
