"here and there" (40min – 1h) is a work that adapts to the location (Fabrika). It is based on concepts of decolonization of space and body involved in listening and performance. The work adjusts to the space and challenges the audience's relationship with the performers and the space. "here and there" is sonically built on an audiovisual environment with sound walls, drones, riffs, measured noise, breaks, etc., partially anchored in the composer's youth experiences playing in punk, hardcore, drone, metal, indie, noise, and improv-electro bands in Brazil. The goal of the piece is to emphasize the experience of transforming so-called 'intellectual reception' of experimental musical performance into 'experiential reception,' where the audience becomes aware of their own individual bodies in relation to themselves, to others, to the performer's body, and to the space. Get ready for a serious bodily experience, if the piece functions properly.

Ensemble Ascolta since 2003 has been creating landscapes of new music in Germany and Europe with its specific sound and unusual projects. The ensemble has performed at almost all major festivals for new music (including Donaueschingen Music Days, Wittener Tage für neue Kammermusik, Festival Eclat Stuttgart, Lucerne Festival, Ultima Oslo, Viennese Modern) and has accepted international concert invitations to the US, Singapore, and Israel. Ensemble Ascolta has initiated and premiered over 250 works for its special lineup, works by composers such as Pierluigi Billone, Chaya Czernowin, Beat Furrer, Isabel Mundry, Olga Neuwirth, and Hans Thomalla. The seven musicians are interested in diverse possibilities of staged performance formats, as well as in the border areas between new, old, and popular music. In collaboration with artists from the fields of video, performance, and multimedia, projects were set up "Der absolut Film" and "Schatten" with ZDF/arte, with Jennifer Walshe: "Meanwhile, back at the ranch", with Simon Steen-Andersen: "Inszenierte Nacht" and with Martin Smolka and Jiří Adámek: "Before the Law", a music-theatre production. Ensemble Ascolta is institutionally supported by the federal state of Baden-Württemberg and the capital city of Stuttgart.
