The Museum of African Art will open a new thematic exhibition "Documenting Africa: A Travelogue Perspective of the Caravan of Friendship" on Thursday.📷

The exhibition is dedicated to the "Caravan of Friendship" of 1962 - a multi-month expedition through Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya, and Tanganyika, organized with the idea of mutual understanding among peoples. The exhibition will showcase Africa through the lens of the 'Cinéma vérité' cinematographer Branko Marijanović, whose photographs and writings became a personal diary and a document of the era. Visitors can expect exclusive photographs, archival films, and authentic objects from the journey, revealing not only the history of the expedition but also the process of observing and recording the African world.

The exhibition will run until April 13, 2026.
