"Ceremony" is a silent listening installation featuring aus, Ulla, and Hinako Omori. It will take place on Saturday, December 7, at the tea houses Shunsoro, Tengouan, Rokusouan, and Kujo-kan within the garden of the Tokyo National Museum. This immersive experience invites visitors to listen deeply in a tranquil setting.
Curated by aus, who is also releasing a new work titled Fluctor this month, the event draws inspiration from the quietude, absence, and traditional etiquette of the tea room. The lineup includes Ulla, a significant figure in the left-field ambient music scene, and Hinako Omori, known for her role as a touring member with Shabaka Hutchings, Ed O’Brien (Radiohead), Floating Points, Hikaru Utada. The three artists will present new music that reflects the aesthetics and atmosphere of this serene environment.
