The exhibition marks 150 years since the birth of Ernest Bošnjak, a pioneer of Yugoslav cinematography. Ernest Bošnjak was born in Sombor on January 1, 1876, and was the first Yugoslav cameraman, director, and producer. He learned the printing trade in his native Sombor and worked as a printer in Buda, Pest, Szeged, and Subotica. He returned to his hometown in 1906 and there he founded his own printing house and lithography. In 1906, Bošnjak brought a film projector to Sombor and opened a cinema. In 1909, he filmed the first feature film, which depicts a game of girls in the Sombor park near the County. For his contributions to the development of Yugoslav cinema, he received a state pension. He died in Sombor in 1963.
