The exhibition marks 150 years since the birth of Ernest Bošnjak, a pioneer of Yugoslav cinematography. Ernest Bošnjak was born in Sombor on January 1, 1876, and was the first Yugoslav cinematographer, director, and producer. He studied the printing trade in his native Sombor and worked as a printer in Buda, Pest, Szeged, and Sombathely. In 1906, he returned to Sombor, founded his own printing house and engraving shop, brought a film projector, and opened a cinema. In 1909, he filmed the first feature film depicting a girls' game in Sombor park. For his contributions to Yugoslav cinema, he received a state pension. He died in Sombor in 1963.
