Mikhail Kozyrev is a person who played one of the key roles in the formation and development of the rock scene in the post-Soviet space. A music journalist, TV presenter, media manager, producer - these are just a few of the roles that have made him one of the most influential people in the music industry. Kozyrev was involved in the creation of the iconic radio stations Maximum and Ultra, 'Nashe Radio', and the festivals Maxidrom, 'Nashestvie' and 'Chartova Duzhina'. Thanks to him, the soundtrack for the movie 'Brother-2' appeared, which became an important phenomenon for a whole generation of young people who experienced the 90s.

It is largely thanks to him that BI-2, Zemfira, Splin, Nochnye Snaypery, Agata Kristi, Chicherina, Korol i Shut, Okean Elzy, Brainstorm, and dozens of other artists appeared and became big stars. These artists have found themselves on different sides of ideological barricades after February 24, 2022.

In his author's program 'NEmoy rock-n-roll', Mikhail Kozyrev seeks to answer the main question: How did it happen that the rock 'n' roll spirit of freedom for someone turned into fawning support for the authorities and the war that it unleashed?

Mikhail, like no one else, knows the industry from the inside and reflects with the audience on how we came to the point where rock music has turned into an accompaniment to dictatorship. How the authorities 'fed' rock musicians for years, trying to influence the audience through them, and some bent under the changing world, while others did not give in and were forced to leave the country.
