Description

“Surm” explores death itself—not grief or pain, but death in its beauty and horror. Why fear it? What is feared? The thought of touching a corpse paralyzes. Examines death's physiology clinically. What dying means. Physiology of the bystander as life turns lifeless. Death talk happens post-mortem; dying should be discussed, uniting all post-birth. Distant from death, it's terrifying—to dying or survivors? Past: body in sauna, coffin in kitchen. Now: hidden in nursing homes, often alone. Fear the unseen. Few witness life departing. Funerals celebrate life. Restore dying's dignity. Die anyway, no need for fearful life. Find comfort in living, joy in dying, or lightness. Author: TRUPITÖÖ. Director: Birgit Landberg.
