Description

The traditional Belgrade Women's Race will be held at Ada Ciganlija on Sunday, October 6, 2024, starting at 10:00, organized by the "Belgrade Marathon".

This 7.7-kilometer race around Lake Sava is being organized for the 17th time and is intended for women of all generations. The race aims to promote the importance of physical activity, especially running and walking, as a form of preventive health maintenance, as well as an unforgettable social gathering with solidarity through support and motivation.

This year's Women's Race will also have a charitable aspect as a package of sanitary pads will be donated to members of the Special Olympics from 16 clubs across Serbia and members of the Sports Union of Persons with Disabilities in Belgrade for every registration fee paid. Women will run to help other women, and this year's new addition will be the organization of a professional panel for all interested female runners who wish to further educate themselves on numerous aspects of physical and reproductive health.

This panel will be held on September 18 as part of the media announcement for this sporting event. All participants will receive a t-shirt and gifts from sponsors in their race packets, and an interesting entertainment program will be organized, along with additional activities for the youngest participants.

  • The traditional Women's Race is the fourth running event this year organized by the "Belgrade Marathon" that we are very proud of. We are especially pleased that this race grows quantitatively and qualitatively each year. We are also very proud that this year, thanks to the engagement of the "Heroes of the Belgrade Marathon" Foundation, the Women's Race will take on a charitable character. I am convinced that on October 6, we will gather a large number of women at Ada Ciganlija who will show their solidarity in this way and enjoy a unique racing atmosphere on the track - said the director of the Belgrade Marathon, Darko Habus.

Organizers have announced another interesting novelty this year.

As a preparation for the "Women's Race", public training sessions will be held on September 21 and 28 at 9:00 on Ada Ciganlija to ensure that all participants are well-prepared, and those who cross the finish line on October 6 will receive medals, as well as online diplomas.
