Margaret Chardiet is an interdisciplinary sound artist born and based in New York City. She began her experimental project Pharmakon in 2006 at age 16, raised by underground musicians and artists. Pharmakon evolves with her personal experiences, using electronic synthesis to convey ferality and viscereality to audiences. She has played in punk groups and composed music for the films Transfiguration (2017) and Sound of Metal (2019).
