Yesterday afternoon the zoo experienced some significant flooding, leaving more than 4 inches of standing water in some places. All of our animal areas are fully functional and our maintenance and grounds crews have been doing an incredible job of dealing with this year's very wet weather. We have been closely monitoring the weather all week and even working directly with a local meteorologist. Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Feast with the Beasts this Saturday. The forecast has a lot of rain between now and then, and there is also a strong chance of thunderstorms right when we were supposed to be opening our gates for this event. Guest and animal safety is always our number one priority and we feel there is too much risk moving forward with this event. We are all very disappointed about having to cancel. All tickets will be refunded in the next 3-5 business days. Our next after hours event, Brewfari, is scheduled for Saturday, July 27th and tickets will be on sale starting tomorrow. Anyone who won a comp ticket for Feast with the Beasts will be able to use it for Brewfari. We apologize for any inconvenience. See less
