Description

Sugato Bhaduri is one of India's most sought-after mandolinists, initiated into music at a young age. He learned vocal music as a child and later focused on instrumental music, taking the mandolin. Trained in Hindustani Classical Music under Pt. T. N. Majumder for 17 years, and attended workshops by Ustad Ali Akbar Khan. Awards: Surmani by Sur-Singar Samsad (2001), Gandharva Ratna (2012), Maharishi award by Maharishi Foundation UK (2019). His style blends Gayaki-ang with Tantrakari, featuring clear taans, rhythmic intricacy, emotional depth, and tones evoking Veena, Rabab, Sarod, Sitar. Toured Europe extensively since 2005 (UK, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Albania, Serbia, Croatia), performing at Eurofestival Zupfmusik (Bamberg, 2006), Poussiere du Monde Festival (Geneva, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2012), International Silk Road Music Festival (Yerevan, 2014), Malaysia (2017), UAE (2018).
