Learn how to sow pollinator-friendly seeds in this hands-on course using a “mini-greenhouse” technique. By using milk or distilled water jugs, you will learn an easy way to get a head start on Spring planting. These plants and flowers provide habitat, nectar, and pollen for butterflies, bees, and other pollinators. Participants will start seeds of annual flowers beneficial to pollinators, such as Mexican sunflowers and zinnias. The mini-greenhouses are sown in mid- to late March, about 6-8 weeks before the young plants are ready to transplant into your garden.
