Te Tai Tokerau – Northland Edition marks a major milestone for the festival — the first ever expansion of Summer Frequencies into a brand-new region, bringing the signature summer vibes north to Opononi for the very first time.

Set at the iconic Opononi Hotel, this special Northland edition delivers the unmistakable Summer Frequencies sound, blending Hip Hop, Reggae and R&B in a stunning coastal setting.

Headlining the event is international favourite Spawnbreezie (USA), joined on stage by J Stringz (USA) alongside the Brownhill Band, bringing their full live sound to Te Tai Tokerau. DJ Noiz has also been named on this line-up and brings his renowned selection and energy in a dedicated DJ set.

Also featuring are Swiss & Tree, Bradamon, and DJ KG, with strong Pacific representation from Jahboy and Jaro Local direct from Solomon Islands. The event will be hosted by Rocky Ponting, keeping the vibes high from gates open to close.

Now in its fifth year, Summer Frequencies has grown into a staple of the Aotearoa summer festival calendar. This Northland edition continues that legacy, expanding the movement while maintaining the relaxed, feel-good atmosphere the festival is known for.
