CLEVELAND CHORO

Come celebrate choro, one of humanity’s greatest musical traditions with us at the Treelawn!  Free admission.  All ages.  Music starts at 1pm.   Hosted by mandolinist Brendan Foreman.

Choro is a unique fusion of African-based rhythms and structure with European instrumentation and harmonies.  Known for its complex chord progressions, syncopated rhythms and off-book improvisations, this is often called the music that Brazilian musicians play amongst themselves.
