The exhibition 'Where Ink Becomes Light' marks the 150th anniversary of Ernest Bošnjak's birth, a pioneer of Yugoslav cinematography. Born in Sombor on January 1, 1876, he was the first Yugoslav cameraman, director, and producer. He trained in printing in Sombor and worked as a printer in Buda, Pest, Szeged, and Subotica. Returning to Sombor in 1906, he founded a printing house and engraving workshop. That year, he brought a movie projector to town and opened a cinema. In 1909, he filmed the first Yugoslav feature film, depicting a girls' game in Sombor park near the County Building. He received a state pension for his contributions to cinema and died in Sombor in 1963.
