The exhibition marks 150 years since the birth of Ernest Bošnjak, a pioneer of Yugoslav cinematography. Ernest Bošnjak was born in Sombor on January 1, 1876, and was the first Yugoslav cameraman, director, and producer. He studied the printing craft in his native Sombor, and worked as a printer in Budim, Pest, Szeged, and Somatheil. He returned to his hometown in 1906 and founded his own printing house and engraving workshop there. In 1906, Bošnjak brought a movie projector to Sombor and opened a cinema. In 1909, he filmed the first feature film, depicting a game of girls in the Sombor park near the County. For his merits in the development of Yugoslav cinema, he received a state pension. He passed away in Sombor in 1963.
