Description
Polyphème unites eight members of Gamelan Puspawarna with percussionist Wassim Halal, creating an original repertoire of compositions and improvisations centered on rhythm and time. Featuring a bold dialogue between the darbuka and Balinese gamelan, it unfolds a musical suite with obsessive leitmotifs that immerse the audience in a magnetic sonic whirlwind. The ensemble reveals new textures and intricate polyrythmies for the gamelan, uniting opposites like rigor and freedom, silence and intensity. Co-realized by Espace Glenmor and Le Plancher.
