Listening Room is a monthly series presented by Ic3y Mag and hosted in Foil Gallery’s immersive space. Each session invites you to experience a full-length album, from start to finish, in a collective and intentional way.

For this edition, we’re diving into Icon (Director's Cut) by Brent Faiyaz. The opening orchestral swell immediately sets the tone. This is a statement record, not background music. Across the following tracks, emotionally blunt writing meets bold, minimal production, letting his voice carry both confidence and doubt at the same time. There’s a reason so many rap artists call him for hooks. He sits exactly between vulnerability and ego, melody and atmosphere. The result feels cinematic but personal, like reading someone’s private thoughts projected onto a huge screen.
