Thursday, June 26th at 18MonodramaTale of Serbian Princess Ljubica in a deeply sincere performance by Katarina Vićentijević, based on the text by Milovan Vitezović, was first performed on the occasion of the unveiling of the monument to Princess Ljubica in her native village Srezović. The monodrama represents the confession of the princess before her last confession, shedding light on her character from the perspective of historical facts, as well as writer's imagination, providing a new dimension and a new way of seeing the significant role of the Obrenović dynasty in the history of Serbia in the 19th century. Her confession reveals encounters with struggles, deaths, loves, trusts, and betrayals, narrating the life of a woman who was the heart of a dynasty, a witness, and a participant in great historical upheavals.
