Apollo Suns return to Winnipeg for their farewell show, The Final Sunrise, after nearly a decade as a 7-piece instrumental psychedelic jazz-rock collective. Founded by guitarist Ed Durocher, they blend jazz, rock, funk, and psychedelic textures into dance-driven instrumental music. Their catalog includes three EPs and the full-length album Departures, recorded with Juno Award-winning producer Ben Kaplan. They have won multiple Western Canadian Music Awards for Instrumental Artist of the Year and are known for high-octane live shows. They have performed at festivals like Winnipeg Jazz Fest and Salmon Arm Roots & Blues, toured Canada and the U.S., and shared stages with The Comet Is Coming, Makaya McCraven, Anomalie, and Five Alarm Funk.
