Jacob Moon is the only artist in Canada who was asked by RUSH on multiple occasions to perform for the band, which he did in 2010 and 2016, later contributing a song to the official 2112 40th anniversary compilation, alongside fellow luminaries like Foo Fighters and Alice in Chains.
Moon has made a career out of not only creating 12 albums of original material, but also interpreting some of our most treasured classics. On this night, he will bring his flair for arranging and ‘live looping’ to bear on two sets of some of the greatest songs in Progressive Music, including “Owner of a Lonely Heart” by Yes, “Hey You” by Pink Floyd, “Your Own Special Way” and “That’s All” by Genesis, “Subdivisions” and “New World Man” by Rush and much, much more! Joining him for the occasion is celebrated local progressive composer Ken Baird (“Fields”, “Monarch Trail”), who will open the night and feature on several songs with Jacob.
