Description

A verbatim drama retelling the events of May 13th 2021, when a local Glaswegian community came together to stop a dawn-raid. Two men were forcibly removed from their home in Kenmure Street and put into an immigration van. Within the hour, thousands blocked the van, leading to an eight-hour stand-off with police and peaceful protestors, until the men were freed. Using interviews, news reports and eyewitness footage, the play explores the power and resilience of community action. Written by Simon Jay and directed by Nicola McCartney.
