Caspar Brötzmann, avant-garde rock, jazz, noise, metal virtuoso on electric guitar, will perform in Belgrade on January 28 at Elektropionir. His explosive trio Caspar Brötzmann Massaker uses rock and heavy metal patterns as a starting point, and then builds on that with free jazz, industrial and noise through perfect improvisation. It’s as if Hendrix lived long enough for Einstürzende Neubauten to reveal to him a completely new genre of music.

Caspar Brötzmann Massaker released 5 albums in a period shorter than 10 years (1987-1995), leaving a deep mark in modern German alternative music.

Just like his father, the legendary saxophonist Peter Brötzmann, Caspar is known as a uncompromising explorer across multiple genres. Just like his father, Caspar is regarded as one of the greatest heroes of his instrument in the history of modern music.
