On Saturday, October 25, 2025, Voice Events presents Kriolôs in Concert, in collaboration with de Doelen. In the iconic Grote Zaal, we celebrate 50 years of Cape Verdean independence with a powerful program where music, culture, and history come together—an evening rich in meaning and experience.

The legends of Cape Verdean music take the stage: Tito Paris – an icon of Morna and Coladeira Boy G Mendes – a musical pioneer and bridge-builder Dudu Araujo – a fiery interpreter of Cape Verdean rhythms June Freedom – the voice of a new generation

Alongside the concert, an exhibition honoring Amílcar Cabral—the visionary freedom fighter and thinker—will highlight his enduring influence on culture, identity, and liberation.

Kriolôs in Concert is more than a musical event: it is an ode to the first Cape Verdean pioneers who set foot on Dutch soil and laid the foundation for today’s community in Rotterdam.

The evening concludes in celebration with a vibrant afterparty.
