CeCe Teneal kicks off the Maple Leaf Community Concert Series with her Divas of Soul show. This tribute celebrates 30 years of hits from Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Chaka Khan, Tina Turner, Whitney Houston and more, featuring songs from the Disco Era like “Ring My Bell” and “Best of My Love,” Broadway like “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going,” and Pop like “What’s Love Got to Do with It” and “I’m Every Woman.” An award-winning vocalist, Teneal has been nominated for four Independent Music Awards, won 2011 Best Gospel Song (“I Heard You Prayin’”) and Best R&B Album (Train from Osteen), and 2018 Best Soul/Funk/Fusion Song (“Danger”). She headlined the 2019 Citrus Bowl halftime and had September 17 proclaimed Annual CeCe Teneal Day in Orlando and Orange County in 2022 for her 20 years of contributions. This is her second year at Hoover Auditorium.
