Fara from the Orkney Islands in northern Scotland, brings to the Stables their energetic and unique Scottish fiddle style and fantastic harmonies. They won the German Critics Award in 2019 and have already performed at major festivals such as Rudolstadt, Tønder, Farsund and many more. Their latest album Energy Islands tells the story of their home, the Orkney Islands, and its role in generating wind and ocean power. The Langan Band has taken audiences by storm with their fast yet gentle mix of harmonies, violin, acoustic bass, guitar and percussion. The trio's popularity has exploded on the worldwide scene since 2021, when, post-pandemic, they released their critically acclaimed album Plight O' Sheep . Recorded on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland's remote Outer Hebrides, the album is influenced by some of Scotland's most beautiful landscapes and celebrates intricate songs with temperamental music.
