CURE FOR PARANOIA is the powerhouse Dallas/Fort Worth-based collective of hip hop, jazz, and funk musicians founded by artist, performer, and songwriter CAMERON MCCLOUD. After releasing his debut project “2nd First Impression” in 2014 with Grammy-winning producer J. RHODES, McCloud was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, finding the best therapy for his condition in the form of collaboration and live performance. Cure for Paranoia is a Cameron McCloud project featuring Tomahawk Jonez & Jay Analog. Thus, CURE FOR PARANOIA was born.

CAMERON MCCLOUD’s dynamic R&B songwriting and clever rap lyricism are the centrifugal force of CURE FOR PARANOIA’s critically acclaimed full-band live show. The performance creates a lush sonic landscape around McCloud’s compositions with drums, keys, and horns featuring Dallas’ own WE THEM GRAYS. On THE INSTITUTE-produced “Love (Again)”, cascading Prince-tinged synths and bright horn riffs build CAMERON MCCLOUD up to a soaring falsetto hook to explore the inevitable ups-and-downs that love brings. The dreamy low-fi echoing bells of “Ex and the City” are a cheeky juxtaposition with the song’s snide jabs at a former lover. And the infectious snare-popping trance beat of single “CPT” cannot be contained when McCloud’s cocky stunt-anthem proclaims, “Binge watch me lil bitch, if you want to know how it’s done / By day we serve tables, by night we serve cunt”.
