Over two decades, he released eight more lauded solo albums, building a loyal fanbase across the UK and Europe with New York rock and roll and PMA. His songs have been covered by Bruce Springsteen, Lucinda Williams, Green Day, Elvis Costello, Bleachers, and Counting Crows. In 2023, Malin suffered a spinal stroke leaving him paralyzed from the waist down but returned to the stage with sold-out shows at NYC’s Beacon Theatre and London’s Islington Assembly Hall. In 2026, he debuted off-Broadway in Silver Manhattan and released his memoir Almost Grown: A New York Memoir.
