Belgrade will host the European Men's Water Polo Championship from January 10 to 25, 2026, one of the most significant sports events on the continent. The best European water polo players will compete in the spectacular atmosphere of the Belgrade Arena. Sixteen national teams will vie for the title of European champions at the 37th championship. The tournament will start with a group stage, featuring four groups with four teams each. Serbia, as the host country, will be in Group C with the national teams of the Netherlands, Israel, and Spain. Group A will see Malta, France, Montenegro, and Hungary battling it out, while Group B will feature Slovenia, Greece, Croatia, and Georgia. In Group D, Turkey, Romania, Italy, and Slovakia will compete for a place in the next stage. The European Men's Water Polo Championship 2026 in Belgrade will be a celebration of sport, a place where new sports history will be written, and an opportunity for Serbia to once again show the world why it is home to the best water polo players. The stands will be full, and the fans ready to once again be the wind in the sails of our “dolphins”. It will be a chance to celebrate together all past achievements, but also to create new, unforgettable moments.
