Oz Noy, an advocate of progressive guitar music with jazz, funk, and rock at its core, returns to his “home ground in Japan”, the Cotton Club, for the first time in five and a half years. He has performed in Japan with first callers such as John Patitucci, Keith Carlock, Bernard Purdie, and Will Lee, and this time he will be performing with the “Oz Noy Organ Trio” and will be performing with the “Booga Looga Organ Trio” on their 2019 album “Booga Looga”. This time, he will be joined on stage by drummer Dave Weckl and organist Brian Sharrett, both of whom also participated in the 2019 album “Booga Looga Loo” under the title “Oz Neu Organ Trio. Expectations for the latest stage performance by “guitar sensation” Oz, who began performing professionally in his native Israel at the age of 13 and has been based in New York since 1996, are only growing.
