Description
“If there’s a god, He should be begging for forgiveness.” These words were reportedly carved on a cell wall in the Mauthausen concentration camp by a prisoner. Juneville, fronted by Pieter Nabbe from Nijmegen-Oost, reflects with their new single Forgiveness—featuring trumpeter Teus Nobel—on humanity's collective failure, posing the question: If there is a god, who asks forgiveness from whom? The repeating mantra addresses religious hypocrisy, war, injustice, lost innocence, and silence around human suffering. Not an attack on faith, but on complacency, looking away, forgetting, and excusing wrongs. Released in early September on major streaming platforms, it previews a new album.
