Monodrama "Major and Helena" is an original project by Aleksa Jovčić based on the book of the same name by Maja Bekčić Petrović, adapted by Divna Stojanov and produced by Theatre Promena and "Oblak" Productions.

The play is based on the true story of Helena Vuković - a former major of the Serbian Army and a transgender woman. The monodrama is a portrayal of her life, from her first realization that she was a girl, not a boy, in a patriarchal family, to her attempts to suppress her own identity in a conservative society, to her present tranquility as she has physically become what she has always been - a woman.
