John McEuen, who, with Nitty Gritty Dirt Band (banjo, guitar, mandolin, fiddle, and lap steel)- is a founding member-50 years there!. And, co-founder Les Thompson, who called John in 1966 asking if he "would like to join a band." Their music was influenced by early mentoring from Rodney Dillard, whom they saw when The Dillards first played L.A. (Orange County?s Paradox -1963!). John says ?without Rodney, there would not have been a ?Circle be Unbroken? album!?.
