Kreenholm manufactory had no equal – the mammoth enterprise with over ten thousand workers roaring between Narva's foaming rapids had no similar in Russia or Europe. Though machines no longer work, workers don't bustle in shops, and Narva rapids open only a few times a year, Kreenholm's industrial architecture still amazes, recalling past glory with its gigantic industrial park. Narva Museum offers guided tours every Sunday from April 26 to October at 12:00, providing an overview of the manufactory's over 160-year history amid monumental industrial architecture. Tour starts at old gate opposite Joala 32, lasts about 1.5 hours, covers closed territory including old factory building with large weaving hall.
