The BIG Social Care Recruitment Event offers the chance to meet local employers face-to-face, learn about current care opportunities across the city, get support with CVs and application forms, find out about training and career progression. You don’t need previous experience or qualifications for many roles. What matters most is having the right values, a caring nature and a willingness to learn — training is provided. Roles in social care involve supporting people to live safely and independently, whether that’s adults with care needs or children and young people in residential settings. There are also opportunities to discuss career pathways, including progression into Social Work. Extra support available on the day from organisations offering cost-of-living and wellbeing support.
