This year as it is the Jubilee Year of Hope we will for the first time have it in the city at the beautiful historic church of St Patrick's Church Hill. It is considered the cradle and birthplace of the Catholic faith in Australia. In 1818 Catholicism was banned and the only Catholic priest deported leaving behind the body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus Christ in the consecrated Eucharist. The laity continued to pray before the Eucharist in secret in homes on this very site. In 1840 St Patricks was built on this site. Truly HOPE was kept alive at this location.
