Eagles of Death Metal is an American rock band founded in 1998 by Jesse Hughes and Joshua Homme. Despite the name, it is not death metal but a humorous blend of bluegrass slide guitar, stripper drum beats, and Canned Heat vocals. Current touring lineup: Jesse Hughes (vocals/guitar), Leah Bluestein (drums), Scott Shiflett (guitar), Dustin Douglas (bass). Albums include Peace Love Death Metal (2004), Death By Sexy (2006), Heart On (2008), and Zipper Down (2015). The band survived the 2015 Bataclan attack and resumed touring.
