The “Mangiare con gli occhi” photographic exhibition will open 🗓️ on Monday, January 26 ⏰ at 18:00 📍at the Student Cultural Center in Novi Sad, in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Belgrade, the Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrade, and the Novi Sad Committee of the Dante Alighieri Society. The exhibition will be open for visits until February 14, 2026.
📌 The exhibition represents a journey that transforms the gaze on food and elevates it as a tale of human existence. The temporal dimensions – past, present, and future – evoked by the images trace patterns, explore possibilities, and raise questions. The authors of the masterful photographs, Luisa Valieri, Mauro Turatti, Francesco Rucci, and Francesco Marinelli, manage to condense the layering of meanings that food has assumed and to build a new language. Food emerges as an emblem of collective memories, territorial practices, aesthetics of desire, and ethical horizons.
