Description

Les Négresses Vertes, originating from the punk movement, have become emblematic representatives of French music abroad. Audiences continue to connect with the spirit of their songs and the energy of their live shows. Formed in Paris in 1987, this independent acoustic rock band draws equally from realist chanson and Mediterranean sounds. They crossed borders with their debut album Mlah (1988) and hit the UK charts with remixes in 1989. Subsequent albums include Famille Nombreuse (1991), Zigzague (1995), and Trabendo (1999). After international touring until 2001, the band reformed in 2018 for a 350-date tour running until December 2024, resuming in 2026.
