Since 2010, Police Dog Hogan have fused country-roots-Americana with a British sensibility. Their music features driving country-rock with guitar, fiddle, banjo, accordion, and trumpet. They toured early 2025 to promote their 6th studio album, Lightning Strike, recorded at Middle Farm Studios in Devon. It followed 2022’s Overground, which charted 4 weeks on the UK Folk album chart. They have played Glastonbury, Latitude, Cropredy, Cornbury, Beautiful Days, Kendall Calling, and Sidmouth Folk Festival, plus sold-out shows at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire, Union Chapel, Scala, and Cadogan Hall, and in Nashville, Ireland, and France. In 2018, Devon Brigade was nominated for best original song at the AMA-UK Awards; Wild By The Side of the Road charted in UK Americana. Late 2024 Christmas single Pull Away celebrated RNLI’s 200th anniversary; 2020’s My First Christmas Alone raised over £50k for Crisis and hit No. 1 iTunes country.
