Description

Step back into the golden age of West Coast jazz with The Gerry Mulligan Tribute Band, a quartet dedicated to the cool, swinging sounds of Gerry Mulligan and Bob Brookmeyer. Fronted by Mick Foster (baritone saxophone) and Geoff Mason (trombone), the band reimagines Mulligan and Brookmeyer’s timeless partnership with warmth, lyricism, and energy. Expect elegant interplay, lush harmonies, and swinging solos that capture the spirit of the 1950s. The band revisits classics such as Line For Lyons, Weaver of Dreams, Reunion, and selections from the legendary Mulligan/Chet Baker collaborations. What people are saying: 'If you like your jazz warm, tasteful and elegant, without grandstanding ... this is for you.' - London Jazz. 'Really nice gig. The trombone and baritone sound so right together.' – Jerry Storer. 'Many thanks for a great gig.' – Bexley Jazz Club. This is no ordinary tribute – it’s a heartfelt celebration of two jazz greats, brought to life by some of the UK’s finest jazz musicians.
