Walking Each other home is a meditative concert series that bridges the tradition of song with the depth of prayer to draw connection between ourselves and the great mystery of our existence through intimate live sessions, on the floor, in the womb of the acorn. In this space, we dissolve the fourth wall, and cultivate true artist intimacy. These sessions are live recorded with a studio audience, and we are soooo stoked to feature LVDY for January’s session!
LVDY [pronounced LADY] is the Colorado-based duo of Kathleen Hooper and Aubrey Mable, creating music that moves, uplifts, and connects. With roots in singer-songwriter, indie-folk and a sound shaped by soaring harmonies and organic instrumentation, LVDY crafts songs that feel like home. In unison it is almost unrecognizable who’s who, and in harmony, an effortless blend that welcomes the exhale. Their uplifting sound and intimate storytelling weave love anthems in and out of their messages, with simple yet important reminders that we’re not alone.
Their ethereal harmonies, musical warmth, and meaningful lyrics find inspiration in the beauty of the outdoors as they draw influence from artists like Maggie Rogers, Rising Appalachia, Brandi Carlile, JOSEPH and Trevor Hall. Though their roots lie in the singer-songwriter realm, their music is intentionally genre-fluid, allowing them to adapt their sound to a wide range of audiences, settings, and collaborations.
Formed in 2018, LVDY has played hundreds of shows across the U.S. & Europe—self-funded, self-built, and community-powered. With their start as buskers on sidewalks, they’ve grown a loyal grassroots fan base affectionately known as the LVDYMOB and have shared stages with the likes of Rising Appalachia, Dirtwire, KT Tunstall, JOSEPH, Joy Oladokun, Ayla Nereo, LÉON, Emily Scott Robinson, and Brendan James, creating live experiences that feel like you’re getting to know friends.
We are incredibly honored to be hosting them, and to have the opportunity to experience their song in such an intimate setting. Join us.
You are not going to want to miss this one. 🤍
