The theatre performance 'Lepa Brena Project' by Bitef Theatre has become a true phenomenon, delivering profound messages about popularity, the tragic breakup of the former country, and the unhappy destinies of its citizens. Through the greatest showbiz symbol of Yugoslavia, the performance speaks about the complexity and internal contradictions of the last almost four decades of this region, its socio-political transformations, pride and pain, disappointments and hope, and about ourselves.
After the Belgrade premiere, the theatre hit 'Lepa Brena Project' has been performed over 100 times and continues to break all attendance records and capture the hearts of the regional audience.
The play was awarded BEST PERFORMANCE in Croatia's 'Story- Hall of Fame' in 2023.
