On Sunday, February 22, a special program Evening of Danilo Kiš takes place at the Cultural Center of Pančevo, dedicated to celebrating the birthday of one of the most important Serbian and Yugoslav writers. Starting at 18:30 in the lobby, there is a literary cafe Discussion on Danilo Kiš, followed by the play The Spirit of Our Homeland, inspired by the work and ideas of Kiš, beginning at 19:30. The literary program is free. During the literary cafe Discussion on Danilo Kiš, the key motifs of his prose, his relationship to history, memory, and literary truth are discussed and analyzed, as well as the peculiarities of his poetics and essays. At 19:30 on the Small Stage, the play The Spirit of Our Homeland by the Serbian Theatre in Hungary is performed.
