The exhibition marks 150 years since the birth of Ernest Bošnjak, pioneer of Yugoslav cinematography. Born in Sombor on January 1, 1876, he was the first Yugoslav cameraman, director, and producer. He learned printing in Sombor and worked as a printer in Budapest, Pest, Szeged, and Šombathely. Returning to Sombor in 1906, he founded a printing house and engraving studio, brought a movie projector, and opened a cinema. In 1909, he filmed the first feature film depicting girls in the park near the County building. He received a state pension for his cinema contributions and passed away in Sombor in 1963.
