Regular meeting of the Bukva book club

This time, we will be discussing Neil Stephenson's book The Diamond Age, or The Primers for Noble Maidens. This science fiction novel transports readers to the distant future: national governments have fallen, state borders have disappeared, and the time has come for enclaves that unite people on the basis of a common culture or ideology.

• The most dynamically developing society is that of the Neo-Victorians, who combine high technology with 19th-century morals.
• Their main stronghold is Atlantis on the coast of former China.
