Description
Shooglenifty, self-styled 'Acid Croft', fuses traditional Scottish melodies with contemporary beats. Formed in 1990 by musicians from the Scottish Highlands, Orkney, and Edinburgh, they have promoted Scottish music worldwide for three decades. Pioneers with firsts like inciting a stage invasion at Sydney Opera House, playing in Cuba, and Borneo Rainforest. Now 35 years strong, with new lineup: Kaela Rowan (percussion, Gaelic/English vocals), Eilidh Shaw (fiddle), Ciarán Ryan (banjo, mandolin), Euan McLaughlin (bass), James Mackintosh (drums), Malcolm Crosbie (guitar). Currently recording their 10th album, releasing early 2026.
