Lou Oma is the project of alternative singer-songwriter Haley Pate. Her visceral, intricate, and intentional work blends folk, electronic, indie, and experimental music into songs that highlight the conflict between well-thought-out explanation and deepest instinct. Featuring textured guitar and synth instrumentals, her voice shines on debut album Enfold, ruminating on what it means to be human. Inspired by Adrianne Lenker, Björk, Arthur Russell, Thom Yorke, and Broadcast, Enfold was crafted over three years and explores challenge, hurt, fantasy, wonder, and joy.
